Purchasing Manager at Combitech

Combitech is looking for a Purchasing Manager to join our growing organization. Your Role as Purchasing Manager at Combitech

As Purchasing Manager at Combitech, you will play a crucial role in shaping and driving our purchasing function, both strategically and operationally. You will manage a broad portfolio of purchases that includes both indirect and direct materials, services, and products. This means that you will design and anchor purchasing strategies that align with our business goals and policies, and analyze market trends to identify opportunities to optimize our purchasing processes.

The role involves leading initiatives to streamline our purchasing processes by implementing digital solutions and automating workflows, which will increase our productivity and cost-effectiveness. In this, you will lead, coach, and develop a team of purchasing specialists, ensuring that the team has the right skills and tools to achieve their goals, while promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.

You will be responsible for purchasing budgets and cost-saving initiatives, which includes identifying and implementing strategies to reduce costs without compromising quality or delivery times. Negotiation work is central, where you will lead negotiations with suppliers to ensure favorable and sustainable agreements. You will identify, develop, and evaluate suppliers both globally and locally, and build strong, long-term relationships that can contribute to our competitiveness and innovation.

In this role, you will ensure that our purchasing activities comply with relevant laws and internal guidelines, and promote sustainability in all aspects of the purchasing process. You will have operational staff and financial responsibility for the purchasing function. Collaboration with other functions within the company to optimize the value chain and ensure that purchasing strategies support our overall business goals is also an important part of your role. In this role, you will report to the Chief of Staff, Anders Wendel, and be part of the management team for the staff, where you will collectively create conditions for sound growth, stability, and sustainability.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in Supply Chain, engineering, or equivalent, and several years of experience leading procurement work with international suppliers. You have documented experience in supplier negotiations and are accustomed to working with budgets, follow-ups, and financial results. Experience from industrial companies and experience in developing a purchasing function is an advantage.

You have very good knowledge of business and purchasing systems, skills in data analysis, and an understanding of digitalization and automation of purchasing processes. You handle and have good experience in procurement legal issues. You are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and additional languages are an advantage.

You are a confident leader with strong communication skills who builds long-term relationships - with a focus on results and value creation for the organization. To succeed in this role, you are strategic, analytical, and business-minded, with the ability to drive change.

As the position involves work that is subject to defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and be approved in a security clearance with a background check.
